PAScribe sepia aged ink 45 ml for vintage and historical calligraphy

PAScribe sepia aged ink 45 ml is a high-quality calligraphy ink formulated to create the warm, mellow tones associated with historical manuscripts and vintage lettering. Its smooth-flowing formula helps calligraphers achieve expressive strokes while maintaining good control, making it a versatile choice for both traditional and creative calligraphy work.

Warm sepia tone for an aged manuscript effect

The rich sepia colour offers a softer alternative to black ink, giving lettering a more atmospheric and historic appearance. This makes it especially appealing for decorative calligraphy, manuscript-inspired work, and projects where a classic aged finish suits the style of the piece.

Designed for expressive yet controlled writing

PAScribe sepia aged ink is formulated to flow smoothly from calligraphy nibs while still allowing the writer to maintain control. This balance makes it suitable for both delicate line work and fuller strokes, depending on the nib and script being used.

Manufactured in Italy by Hamburg

PAScribe inks are produced in Italy by Hamburg, a specialist ink manufacturer known for professional calligraphy formulations. This collaboration combines PAScribe’s focus on practical calligraphy tools with Hamburg’s long-standing experience in producing dependable inks for lettering and writing use.

Suitable for historical and creative calligraphy

This ink is especially well suited to historical calligraphy styles, italic and foundational lettering, vintage manuscript effects, and creative projects where a warmer, less stark tone is preferred. Its softer colour can help create a more organic and traditional feel across a range of calligraphic applications.

Compatible tools and use

PAScribe sepia aged ink is suitable for dip pens and calligraphy nib holders, making it useful for both practice and more finished pieces. It is not intended for fountain pens, helping ensure the formulation performs best in the tools it was designed for.

Generous 45 ml bottle for regular use

The 45 ml bottle provides a practical amount of ink for calligraphy practice, workshops, classes, and longer lettering projects. This makes it a useful option for both developing calligraphers and experienced scribes who want a dependable sepia ink with strong visual character.

The perfect ink

This ink is amazing, a joy to write with. The hairlines are so thin and the colour on the page is so even between nib refills, it also lasts along time in the nib. Plus you can use it on more porous surfaces like copy paper. I usually use walnut ink but this is my new favourite.
